Lighting of an arcade cabinet is fairly limited. Lighting will be needed for the marquee area of your cabinet and is generally provided by either a fluorescent strip light, or several incandescent bulbs.

The other area that generally will be lit are the coin returns if your cabinet features them.

One fairly new lighting modification is to light the pushbuttons on the control panel. Knievel has also created a nice writeup on how to effectively light translucent leafswitch pushbuttons which can be found here. Work is also currently being done in this area with the LED-Wiz
